Steal This Look: Simple Cape Cod Bath

Issue 24 · Rugged and Rustic · June 14, 2011

Cape Cod-based architect Sheila Narusawa recently remodeled a family house in Orleans, Massachusetts (to read the full account, go to Design Skool). We especially admire the upstairs bath, which features custom built shelving by Jonathan Blake (508-457-1540) of Falmouth-based Hampton & Blake. To achieve a similar understated New England look, consider the following elements:

Above L to R: Walls are painted Benjamin Moore Linen White; floors are Benjamin Moore Stonington Gray from the Historic Color collection.

Above: The Birmingham black and white striped Dash & Albert rug is $95.

Brass Double Hook

Restoreres Gooseneck Diverter

Above: Narusawa sourced the vintage bath from Old House Parts in Kennebunk, Maine, and the Restorer's Gooseneck Tub Faucet from Van Dyke's Restorers.

Hanging Soap Holder

Above: A similar Hanging Soap Holder can be sourced from Van Dyke's Restorers for $27.99.

Above: Highly rated Turkish towels from Macy's Hotel Collection are available in pale gray pearl; prices start at $12.99 for a washcloth.
