From Sarah and Julie:
We have fallen hard for this Volata dining table by Joerg Boner, especially paired with charcoal Eames shell side chairs and a chartreuse rug. Unfortunately, the table, produced for Swiss company Tossa, is not available in the US. But you can recreate the look using the elements below.
Below: Centerbrook Table, designed by architect Mark Simon for Curran. Handcrafted from solid Appalachian black cherry with a choice of five stains; 96 inches long, 48 inches wide, 30 inches high. $2,900 at Curran Online.
Below: Another option: Matthew Hilton's oak (also available in wenge) Cross Extension Table for Design Within Reach; expands from 79 inches to 116 inches long. $2,750 at DWR.
Below: Eames Arm Shell Dowel Base Chair; $399 at Modernica. Available in 16 colors (charcoal shown) and with maple or walnut dowels.
Below: Swedish company Kasthall, designers and manufacturers of woven and handtufted rugs, recently opened a showroom in NYC. The 100 percent woven Bloc/Cord Olive 32 rug can be ordered in any size, with stitched edges.
For the thrifty, Flor Fedora Carpet Tiles in chartreuse, $6.99 for each 50 cm square.
