One of my favorite pieces of furniture is the Lounge Sofa (shown below) by Parisian designer Catherine Memmi.

I recently admired the Movie Sofa (shown below) in CB2's San Francisco outpost; it has a similar low-slung profile and a simple, off-white heavy cotton slipcover. As an added bonus, it features eco-friendly construction: certified sustainable, kiln-dried hardwood frame and multilayer soy- or plant-based polyfoam cushions. The sofa is 88 inches wide, 40 inches deep, and 26 inches high; $1,199 at CB2.
