Housed in a lofty former book repository from the 1860s, the Black Parrot in Portland, Maine, stocks a fine assortment of home furnishings in addition to clothing. We especially like the leafy green motif in evidence throughout the store’s interior.

Above: Owners Sherrie Gibson and Warren Selig created a window sculpture using Algues modular plastic decorative components by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for Vitra; the kits are available at Unica Home; $35 for a box of 24 or $225 for a box of 200.
