Bay Area designer and recent Berkeley graduate (with a BA in architecture) Joseph Sandy sent us photos of his 8-by-10-foot outdoor studio/shed in Petaluma, California, just north of San Francisco. Made from reclaimed redwood fencing, the shed has a polycarbonate clerestory window that provides ample interior illumination; the pegboard-lined interior offers multiple storage opportunities. Very nice use of recycled and affordable materials to make a shed, but I think that it is a misnomer to refer to it as a studio. A metal roof and no operable windows for ventilation would make this a sweatbox on even a mildly sunny day. Otherwise, kudos on a great storage shed!
