This is a great tip. I used less than $150 worth of materials to give a cool facelift to a sturdy but unsightly wood fence. It looked great and people loved it. Lots of bang for the buck! I left mine metal but paint would also be great. It helps to have several people help with install (to hold the metal in place--it's unwieldy) plus a shovel for digging down to make it even on the top if it's being installed along uneven ground.
Great idea - we took old corrugated roofing that had a patina of rust - looks like a landscape and used it for fencing - painted the plastic chairs chartreuse.
