From Janet
Alison Berger is an extraordinary glassmaker based in Los Angeles who describes her medium as light, her material as glass. Her pieces balance art and architecture (she trained in both disciplines) and celebrate the nature of glass, complete with its natural imperfections; inspirations range from bell jars and apothecary shapes to scientific beakers and glass jars. Contact Plug Lighting or Holly Hunt Showrooms for pricing (each piece varies) and ordering information.

her work reminds me of that of Mark Bickers. I have yearned for his Cut Pendant lights ever since 2001 (?), when I saw them on the cover of Elle Deco/Uk.

It's so satisfying to make a beautiful piece of glass as it is - and then to illuminate it or incorporate it into a fixture... excellent!
