Mattias Ståhlbom has distilled the idea of a pendant to its essence: just a socket, bulb, and cord. Designed in 2008 for Muuto, a cutting-edge Danish design house, Ståhlbom's E27 Pendant Light is made of fade- and heat-resistant indelible silicone.

Above: The E27 Pendant is available in red, yellow, white, green, and dark gray and is $99 at Design Within Reach (available in early September).

Hello Remodelistas! I'm an avid reader of your site. That is why I feel an urge to correct a little mistake you made (a very small one...). Muuto is a Danish company. As a Finn I would of course hope it would be Finnish, but I am happy with the fact that at least they have many Finnish designers. And the name, Muuto, is ALMOST Finnish. Muutos means change, and change is indeed for the better.
Warm regards, Katja from Helsinki
