Hotels & Lodging: Casa Camper in Berlin

Issue 52 · European Mix · December 27, 2010

Affordable, functional, and stylish is the mantra behind the newly opened Casa Camper boutique hotel in Berlin. Located in the Mitte area, near the Hackesher Markt and many museums, galleries and restaurants, Casa Camper is the second hotel created by Spanish shoe company Camper (the first is located in Barcelona). Designed by Fernando Amat (of the famed Vinçon in Barcelona) and Jordi Tio, the hotel has spacious common areas, a penthouse bodega, bikes for hire, and bathrooms lit by natural daylight. French brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec designed the glamorous on-site Dos Palillos Restaurant as a stage for the culinary wizardry of El Bulli alum Albert Raurich.
