Hotels & Lodging: The Ace Hotel in New Orleans

Headed to New Orleans for the world-famous New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (or braving Mardi Gras)? Our lodging of choice is the Ace Hotel’s NOLA outpost.

Designed by architects Eskew+Dumez+Ripple with interior design by New York-based Roman & Williams, the Ace Hotel New Orleans comprises nine floors of a 1928 Art Deco building in the downtown Warehouse District (formerly known as the American Sector in the early 1800s and Faubourg Ste. Marie before that). The decor is influenced by the Big Easy, with an emphasis on music and cocktails and a color palette of dark green, gray, and eggplant—a moody interpretation of Fat Tuesday’s signature hues.
