Each outpost of the Ace Hotel (there are now four of them, the latest in midtown Manhattan) pays homage to the environs, and the NYC Ace, designed by Roman & Williams, is no exception. The only nod to the Northwest (where the hotel group originated) is the Stumptown Coffee Roasters, located off the lobby. The coffee is sublime, but we also like the overall Eastern Europe meets the New World vibe; among the notable details are the brass railings, the custom wavy glass lighting, and the brass candlesticks and other collectibles on display.
