Hardware Collection by Sibella Court for Anthropologie

Issue 22 · Australia and Beyond · May 29, 2012

Sibella Court, Australia's queen of disheveled chic, teamed up with Anthropologie a while back on a line of handmade hardware for the home inspired by her own collection of aged wood and tarnished metal hardware.

"The expertise of traditional tradesmen (forgers, tinkers, and smiths) has been lost over time, as handmade became machine-made and mass-produced," she says. "I want to reference the time when the pieces you bought felt like someone had whittled them or sharpened them to imperfection with their own hands."
