Halloween Decor: The Evolution

It's not like I need to decorate my garden for Halloween, at least not with the same fervor as when my three girls were little and we considered it a wholesome family bonding experience to style the front lawn with dangling bloody severed rubber limbs. But you can see why it's hard to give up the habit:

Above: More tasteful than the old days, yes, but still satisfying. Suspend a set of 16 assorted dyed gourds from a string; a Dried Gourd Crate is $68 from Terrain.

Above: The gourds range in height from 4 to 8 inches tall; keep them out of direct sunlight.

Above: Also available via wooden crate: assortments of pumpkins and mini pumpkins.

Above: A set of 10 assorted pumpkin and gourds, in sizes ranging from 3 to 9 inches; a Fresh Pumpkin Crate is $68 from Terrain.

Above: Forgive me if I succumb to an urge to add a bloody severed rubber finger to the bell jar tableau.
