Grand Thistle Wallpaper from Timorous Beasties

Issue 11 · The Celtic Angle · March 12, 2012

Scottish designers Timorous Beasties have taken to the thistle, the national flower of Scotland and a Celtic symbol since ancient times, and reinvented it as a slightly sinister wallcovering.

The result is the Grand Thistle Wallpaper, portraying the prickly plant in deep purples and greens. We think it would be especially fitting in an otherwise clean and contemporary environment, a way to inject a little high-society-by-way-of-the-Highlands into the room.
