A current obsession: the work of Netherlands designer Piet Boon, his kitchens in particular. Boon's use of materials is especially compelling: Belgian hardstone, pale oak, black stone floors. He's also got a store in Amsterdam called Baden Baden that carries a selection of lighting fixtures, his Piet Boon Zone furniture line, and bathroom and kitchen fixtures.
