Design Voyeur: Walter Lamb

My friend Victoria Kirk is an interior designer in NYC with the most impeccable style; she recently introduced us to the work of Walter Lamb, a furniture designer who created a line for Brown Jordan in the forties. Working with salvaged bronze pipe from sunken naval ships at Pearl Harbor and yacht roping, he created prototypes of the most elegant patio furniture we've ever seen. Sadly, prices for vintage pieces are stratospheric.

I have collection of Walter Lamb Out door furniture and am interested in selling -- I have 4 chairs and two footstools of this vintage 1950's original - please respond if interested

We have a frame for a "sunspot" and I wonder if it is a Walter Lamb design - the only image I have seen of these is from a photo of case study homes in LA

WOW, these are vintage and absolutely beautiful. I have been looking through old garages and attics for years for these. I know they are out there because Lamb outdoor furniture is so "unknown" to the masses.

I actually found one in an uncle's garage when I was about 10 years old. I did not know what it was back then. If I recall, it was sold for $2.00 at the estate sale. Apparently, no one else knew what it was either. I guess that why I grew to love Outdoor Living Furniture so much. I realized what I had missed.

I have two Walter Lamb rockers, two small chairs, two larger chairs,and two small tables, Purchased in the late 1940's and held in one family for 60 years. Anyone interested in buying? I am in hawaii
