Design Sleuth: Vintage Conran MacLamp No. 8

A while back, I admired this bedroom vignette in the Toast House & Home catalog; I filed away a mental image of the yellow bedside lamp in hopes of someday sourcing it. So I was pleased to discover it on More Ways to Waste Time recently; it's the wood and painted aluminum MacLamp, from the early days of Terence Conran. Vintage models frequently show up on eBay, with prices hovering between $50 and $150. As for the vibrantly colored Dupion Silk and Hopsack Bedcover in this photo, the double size is currently on sale at Toast for £135.
