Can a euphoric shopping experience be had online? The kind where the “salesperson” is mindful of your taste and spending limits and leads you to things you’ll love?

For us, it’s been happening with Of A Kind. The young company mixes the best of e-commerce with limited pieces by up-and-coming designers. Founders Erica Cerulo and Claire Mazur started the company after working in editorial for Details and Lucky as well as arts management. They both have a knack for finding goods that are well made and timeless and fall below the $500 price range.

To kick off summer, we partnered with Of A Kind to offer this giveaway of a DBXL iPad Case by Materials + Process (a $98 value). Congratulations to our winner, Graciela; our thanks to everyone who entered.

Catch a glimpse below of more Of A Kind collections, as well as further details on the DBXL iPad Case.

Above: A favorite of Alexa’s, the Taylor Bag is a limited edition by Remodelista Market alumna Sarah Barner. Sleek and soft, this delicate leather piece is handmade in Portland, OR; $180.

Above: Object + Totem created this Indigo Chrome Bottle Vase just for Of A Kind. It was their second home edition piece and it sold out in a day. (Stacey is keeping her fingers crossed Claire and Erica will bring this one back.)

Above: Dream Collective embodies that ultimate bohemian California cool look, as seen in this one-of-a-kind Marina Cuff made of reclaimed brass with white and blue enamel detailing; $165.

Above: Curated by Claire and Erica, the Of A Kind Graduation Grab Bag includes grown-up essentials, including a notepad by Terrapin Stationers, leather luggage tag by Apolis, key bottle-opener by Makr, and Fabric Fresh spray by The Laundress; $50.

Stay tuned: We’ll be visiting with Erica and Claire again soon, to glean their insider design haunts in one of our favorite cities.
