Bath: Modular Cabinetry from e15

January 7, 2010

Founded in London by architect Philipp Mainze and product designer Florian Asche, e15 is now headquartered outside Frankfurt, Germany. Most of the artfully minimalist-yet-rustic pieces are manufactured in the Rhein-Main area by skilled woodworkers (“the shape is modern; the craftsmanship is traditional,” Mainze says). We especially like Mainze’s modular pieces for the bath, made of waxed European oak with simple, almost Donald Judd–like lines and proportions. Go to e15 for dealer information; select pieces are available through one of our favorite Northern California sources, 14Feet (call 707-433-3391 for information).
