Time to think about summer illumination; classic hurricane lanterns are always a good solution.
Below: We've had our eye on the Casamidy line, produced in San Miguel Allende, Mexico, for a while now. Online catalog Vivre carries their 23-inch-tall Punta Maroma tropical barzino wood lantern. Sadly, the price is $545.

Below: Casamidy's Alta Vista line is available in green, orange, white, black, and nickel; go to Casamidy for pricing and ordering information.

Below: Lotus Hurricane Lamps of matte aluminum and polished glass; $59 in black, silver and white at Zinc Details.

Below: Mykonos Polished Nickel Lanterns; from $14 to $38.99 at Restoration Hardware.

Below: German-made Lumbra Lantern from Blomus; $165.50 at Lumens.

Below: Rustic Wood Lantern; made from reclaimed wood and galvanized metal; $60 for small, $80 for large at Shoestring Home.

Below: We love this Swiss Army folding lantern from the twenties, which folds flat to fit in a canvas pouch (included); $90 at Swiss Link:

Below: Colin Cowie Antique-Style Lanterns; from $49.95 to $99.95 at HSN.

Below: For a dash of color, inexpensive Hurricane Lanterns; £9.50 each at the Beach Hut.

Below: Or, the Borrby Steel and Glass Candle Lantern in black or galvanized for $14.99 at Ikea. At 17 inches tall, it’s great as a table centerpiece.

Beautiful collection! I just grabbed some antique globes over the weekend to put them up in my Etsy store; a set of three hurricane-style lanterns in different sizes.
I'm going to grab some more for my own home, they look amazing at night!
wonderful site!
