From Francesca,
Fall is here, and for those of us without radiant-heat flooring, a wool rug is essential; lately, we've been gravitating toward some of the shaggier, more textured offerings.
Below: Pottery Barn's hand-loomed Gabbeh Rug in Oatmeal is $129 to $749.

Below: Room & Board's Oasis Shag Rug is available in Ivory, Cement, and Chocolate and is machine-loomed in the Netherlands; $1,799 to $2,599.

Below: West Elm's Cable Rug in Ivory or Gray is $119 to $549.

Below: Pottery Barn's Quinn Felted Shag Rug is available in Ivory, Clay, or Espresso; $229 to $1,149.

Below: Hand-knotted, 100-percent wool Vitten Rug from Ikea; $129 to $179 .

Below: The CB2 Shag Rug is also available in Gray or Brown; $299 to $599.

Below: Counting Sheep Rug Tiles from Flor are easy to install (and replace, when the inevitable stain appears); they measure 19.7 by 19.7 inches and are $19.99 each.

Below: The New Zealand Wool Rug from Williams Sonoma has a pleasingly plush feel; $499 to $1,999.

Below: Curran Floor offers a line of custom made-to-order neutral wool rugs, machine-finished with an overcast stitch. The Valencia Tufted Wool Rug is made from 100 percent wool milled in Europe, is available in Beach, White, or Gray, and costs $13.20 per square foot.

Below: The luxurious Nuance Rugs from Danskina are custom-made to size in Amsterdam using only the finest wools and are approximately $80 a square foot at Unica Home.
