A pitch for the bluestar....I hesitated to buy a smaller company but the performance on my new range is incredible. Better than anything I have ever used or seen. The simmer setting with the gas is unbelievable. I found them through user reviews all over the internet so it's easy to find out more if you are curious. Check them out if you are looking!
Know of anything good-looking in an electric stove? I know they're not great to cook on, but I have a situation that requires one. Don't want to spend 7G though.
A nice selection. We did lots of research replacing a trusty old Wolf, and came up with a similar list.
We recently installed the 36" Thermador Pro Harmony. Slightly less stealth than the Pro Style, but it's a great range. And $1500 less.
The Dacor has these funky illuminated blue knobs, a must to avoid with kids around. Our three year old would have picked that one.
What happened to the Aga 6-4? Dual Fuel, 6 burner, 4 ovens (roasting, broiler, programmable convection, an simmering). Comes in a great choice of colors. I installed a claret red one a few months ago and think it's fantastict!

I love my blue star! I got mine about 5 months ago. I don't have a single complaint. Cook and bakes like a dream. The only pricey stove that they actually let me cook on before buying. Totally sold me.
Looking at remodelling the kitchen, thanks for the info, now I've got a clear idea of what to do
The Aga 6-4 is bigger than 36 inches - 39 I think - which puts it in a different category from these 10.
@cara - The Aga Legacy come sin an all-electric version, with a flat cooktop.
You didn't mention the Lacanche. Now that is a dream stove. Check out frenchranges.com. These are not modern looking (which is perhaps what this website is all about). The lacanche is traditional and classic.
The Ikea one is nice looking but only 11,000 btus max. :-(
I agree that Lacanche is the fantasy range!
