Scrafano Architects creates environments that are serene, minimal, warm and sophisticated. Our work explores and respects the relationship between the built and natural landscapes, with a commitment to environmental sustainability.
We collaborate with clients, consultants and contractors from design conception through construction, to seek innovative and unique solutions to architecture, interior and design projects. Our work includes residential, restaurants, retail and other commercial projects.
The firm, which has offices in Los Angeles and Chicago, is headed by Elissa Scrafano, a practicing architect for more than 20 years. Elissa received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). She worked at the offices of Frank O. Gehry and Associates, Eric Owen Moss Architects and Narduli Grinstein Architects before founding Scrafano Architects in 1997.
Scrafano Architects has projects in California, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana and Hawaii. Our work has been featured in local, regional and national publications including Dwell, i4Design, Design Bureau, Western Interiors, Midwest Home, Chicago Home, and the Chicago Tribune.
