Khanna Schultz, a Brooklyn based practice, works on projects of varying scales and program. The firm’s work has ranged from private residences and furniture to the design of large scale warehouses and resorts.
The office has worked in locations as diverse as rural India and the hills of Kansas. The design speaks to its context responding to particular climatic or site conditions and employing local building systems. Construction and detailing are a source of inspiration, balanced by a playful sensibility toward scale, form and color.
The design process is seen as an active conversation between client and designer. The firm follows a philosophy that inventive design must be grounded in a clear and realistic reading of program, budget, schedule, and site.
