From Julie:
To be filed under “fantasy acquisitions.” Some of the best bathtubs we’ve seen come from UK-based Albion Bath Co., including the Aegean, pictured below. Since 1993, Albion has been producing high-quality, hand-made tubs made from a mixture of ground stone and resin; the finished tubs are polished to a high gloss with a polymer wax. The company manufactures to order, sells directly to homeowners, and delivers worldwide.

In our perfect world, all lighting fixtures would be as elegantly industrial as the made-to-order, $169 porcelain Alabax Pendant from Schoolhouse Electric, which has retail showrooms in Portland, OR, and Tribeca in NYC. NB: Our favorite hotel, the Ace Hotel in Portland, OR, uses SE Alabax pendants for hallway illumination.

Who knew you could procure dishware by UK demigod Terence Conran at Bed, Bath and Beyond? We love Conran’s simple white Albion line for Royal Doulton; prices range from $8.99 for a mug to $9.99 for a dinner plate.
