Steal This Look: Stainless Steel Kitchen
March 9th, 2008
From Janet:
Not all stainless kitchens are cold, antiseptic, and institutional. This Brooklyn kitchen (featured in New York Magazine) shows how stainless can be paired with warm materials, like rustic wooden floor boards, to create a hard-working, homey space.

The owner didn’t want a large refrigerator dominating the room, so she chose small undercounter refrigerator units:

Below: Complete the look with stainless counter top storage containers. Design Within Reach offers the Arne Jacobsen’s Cylinda sugar bowl (L) for $105, and Cylinda creamer (R) for $75; go to dwr.com.
