From Julie:
In an exciting development, we have a new porch light in Wellfleet, which replaces a nasty hardware-store fixture from the mid-seventies. I swerved into the Nauset Lantern Shop on a whim and discovered this hand-made pewter and brass onion ceiling lamp with hand-blown glass orb:

For the past fifty years, the shop has been making faithful reproductions of nautical, mission, and colonial light fixtures that feature a charmingly imperfect look; unfortunately the website (nausetlanternshop.com) does not do justice to their offerings. All models are available in copper, brass, or pewter. The Wellfleet wall lantern in pewter is well worth investigating; one of the best outdoor fixtures I’ve seen.
