A technique for countering tedium in the kitchen: varied work-surface materials. In Francesca’s Brooklyn Heights kitchen, designed by Steven Harris (stevenharrisarchitects.com), she used Corian cabinetry, marble countertops, and stainless steel counters on either side of the Viking range.
