Japan Week: Leaf Zakka

Why do the Scandinavians and the Japanese do such a brilliant job with utilitarian design? We have Target and Walmart, they have Ikea and Muji (finally coming to the US this fall, to SoHo; visit muji.com).

The Scandi design landscape is well-trod territory; lately we’ve been admiring the understated rusticity of Japanese household objects. This week we devote ourselves to a few of the Japanese websites we have been trolling and scrolling these past few months.
